Sig Sauer

Sig Sauer is one of the world’s most well known firearms manufacturer. The company history stretches as far back as Switzerland in 1853, and the initial order for 30,000 muskets for the Switzerland ministry of defense.

In 1975, SIG began distributing the original Sig P220 pistol, the long-awaited replacement for the Sig P210, to the Swiss Army. Shortly thereafter, the Sig P220 was adopted by special military use in Denmark and Japan. The design and manufacture of the Sig P210 was a collaborative effort between SIGARMS and JP Sauer and Sohn, hence the name "Sig Sauer."
