The IC-SPR is the flagship model of LWRCI's Individual Carbine series, originally developed for the U.S. Army's Individual Carbine Program. Designed to meet stringent military requirements, the IC-SPR excels in accuracy, reliability, ambidextrous functionality, and compatibility with 1913 Picatinny rail accessories, making it an ideal choice for discerning shooters.
At the heart of the LWRCI IC-SPR Rifle is a NiCorr-treated, cold-hammer forged barrel with a 1:7 twist rate, ensuring stability for a wide range of bullet types. Its distinctive spiral fluting not only enhances the rifle's aesthetic but also reduces weight by 20% compared to traditional barrels of the same diameter, while increasing surface area for improved cooling after rapid fire.
Reliability is a hallmark of the IC-SPR, thanks to LWRCI's patented short-stroke gas piston system. This innovative design minimizes hot gas venting into the receiver and bolt carrier group, significantly reducing cleaning requirements. The rifle features a nickel-boron coated bolt carrier for exceptional wear and corrosion resistance, along with permanent lubricity.
To further enhance performance, the IC-SPR is equipped with the LWRCI Enhanced Fire Control Group, which includes nickel-Teflon coated components for a smooth, crisp trigger pull and positive reset. User-friendly controls abound, with ambidextrous safety selector, charging handle, bolt release, and magazine release, making it easy to shoot comfortably with either hand. An enlarged trigger guard also accommodates shooting with gloves, ensuring versatility in various conditions.
