The 11.5" barrel is cold hammer forged, chrome-lined, and holds a 1:7 twist on Geissele's tapered profile, running through a carbine-length gas system with a .067" gas port tuned specifically to this barrel length. Fully ambidextrous controls carry over from the platform — a left-side magazine release below the Maritime Bolt Catch and a dust-cover-actuated bolt catch and release on the right, so the manual of arms doesn't change based on which hand is running the gun. Inside, a Nanoweapon-coated Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group runs with a forged Stressproof Bolt, and the SSA-E X® trigger with Lightning Bow® gives a clean two-stage break that holds up over high round counts.
