Geissele AR10/SR25 Super Reaction Rod 10-247 is designed to securely hold an upper receiver assembly for maintenance and assembly work, eliminating a problem that plagues standard receiver vise blocks.

Gripping the rod in a bench vise, either horizontally or vertically, lets the upper receiver slide onto it while the Geissele Reaction Rod's integral splines enter the barrel extension and secure it from turning. That matters because standard vise blocks transmit turning force into the aluminum receiver itself, with a good portion of that stress passing through the small, easily distorted receiver index pin. This rod routes torque directly into the barrel extension instead, so barrel nut wrenches don't risk marring the receiver's finish or working the index pin loose over repeated use.

Made from 4140 chrome moly steel and ground to the exact diameter, this AR10 SR25 Reaction Rod enters the upper receiver with no wobble. There's also no need to remove sights or mounts from the receiver's M1913 rail during installation, which saves real time on a job that already has enough steps.
