This Uberti 342813 limited-edition rifle features exquisite engraving, and it's chambered for the versatile .357 S&W Magnum cartridge, offering both historical charm and modern utility. With a 10+1 capacity and a 20-inch barrel, this rifle combines classic aesthetics with practical functionality. It's a collector's dream and a shooter's delight.
The Uberti 1873 150th Anniversary stands as a faithful reproduction of "The Rifle That Won The West." Originally in production from 1873 to 1923, the Winchester Model 1873 was conceived as an improvement over its predecessor, the Winchester 1866. Just like its forerunner, it swiftly gained a reputation for accuracy and reliability.
One key reason for the Model 1873's immediate popularity was its chambering in popular handgun cartridges of the era. This innovation allowed users to carry a single type of ammunition for both their rifle and pistol, offering practicality and convenience. While these pistol cartridges were not as powerful as full-sized rifle rounds, they proved more than adequate for taking down the majority of game found in the American West, with the exception of the largest and most dangerous species. Another distinguishing feature was the Model 1873's robust steel frame, ensuring exceptional durability, and its compact size, making it a handy companion on foot or horseback.
To commemorate its 150th Anniversary, Uberti has introduced a special edition of the Model 1873. The receiver of this unique rifle boasts exquisite engraving, featuring intricate scroll work and captivating game scenes. All of this artwork is an exact replica of an original Winchester Model 1873 from a private collection. The engraving is skillfully executed by the renowned studio Giovanelli of Italy, celebrated for their work on premium rifles and shotguns. Enhancing its remarkable appearance, the 150th Anniversary Model 1873 incorporates color-case hardened components and an A-grade satin Walnut stock and fore-end.
What sets this anniversary model apart is its intention to be more than just a showpiece. Unlike many ornate rifles that spend their lives in safes or above fireplaces, the 150th Anniversary Model 1873 is designed to be a functional firearm, ready for use in the field and at the range. It perfectly blends aesthetics and utility, celebrating the legacy of the Model 1873 in style.
