The Springfield Armory Kuna 9mm Handgun delivers a cutting-edge, military-inspired personal defense weapon (PDW) configuration optimized for civilian and defensive roles. Stepping completely away from standard straight-blowback systems, this submachine-gun-style platform utilizes an advanced roller-delayed blowback operating system co-developed by HS Produkt, which drastically minimizes felt recoil and delivers flat-shooting stability. Built with a rugged monolithic aluminum upper receiver, the firearm houses a 6.125-inch cold radial hammer-forged threaded barrel capped with a factory multi-port muzzle brake. Completely modular and customizable, the Kuna layout features a reversible, non-reciprocating forward charging handle, fully ambidextrous safety and magazine controls, and an integrated M-LOK® handguard. It handles range tasks efficiently by accepting a vertical Picatinny rail end plate for rear brace integration and ships with two proprietary 30-round translucent magazines featuring steel-reinforced feed lips.
