The iRayUSA Rico Micro Pictail 2 (Tan) is a specialized hybrid mounting adapter that allows the RICO MICRO thermal series to transition between helmet and weapon platforms in a distinct Tan/FDE finish. Redesigned in partnership with Ultimate Night Vision, this second-generation shoe combines a standard dovetail interface for helmet mounts—compatible with industry leaders like Wilcox and KVC—with a single-slot MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail section. Constructed from high-strength 6061-T6 aluminum, it weighs just 0.8 ounces and enables a single thermal unit to serve as both a hands-free scanner and a rifle-mounted sight. When paired with the American Defense Manufacturing (ADM) MQD mount, it provides over 4.5 inches of rear offset in standalone mode, which shrinks to just 1.5 inches when reversed for clip-on use, making it ideal for compact platforms like SBRs.
