The buffer tube is machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminum and finished with a Type 3 Hardcoat Anodize, ensuring durability and conformance to mil-spec standards. It features six stock positions and fits most mil-spec diameter AR-15 stocks. Weighing 3.7 oz, it includes a mil-spec castle nut and end plate.
The Super 42 Braided Wire Spring boasts a unique design with three independent strands of wire, similar to the German MG42 Machinegun spring. This design acts as both a harmonic damper and energy absorber, reducing the risk of spring failure and eliminating spring reverberations. It offers approximately 15% more return force than a standard spring, improving the carbine's performance, especially in dirty conditions or with steel case ammunition.
