This 14.5" CHF Barrel is cold hammer forged from chrome moly vanadium steel with a 1:7 twist, stabilizing everything from 55-grain varmint loads to heavier 77-grain match ammunition without needing a twist-rate compromise. The heavy profile adds real mass over Geissele's standard taper contour, which is what keeps point of impact consistent through rapid strings of fire rather than letting the barrel walk as it warms. Every Geissele 14.5 barrel in this configuration is High Pressure Tested and Magnetic Particle Inspected before it leaves the factory, catching material defects a visual inspection alone would miss.
A chrome-lined bore and chamber handle the corrosion and fouling resistance that comes with sustained use, and two dimples machined into the gas journal make gas block installation straightforward without guesswork on set screw placement. Cold Hammer forging is what separates this rifling from cut or button methods — it's compressed into the bore rather than removed from it, producing tighter tolerances that hold up over a much longer service life.
