The M4A1 RIII is a refined version of Daniel Defenses popular M4A1 platform, and offers multiple upgrades for greater performance and ease of use. It comes equipped with the exclusive RIS III rail system an optimized version of the renowned RIS II rail that was developed by SOCOM. The RIS III rail system is lighter than the RIS II but still provides extreme durability, and multiple M-LOK attachment points allow for the installation of tactical lights/lasers, vertical grips, and other M-LOK compatible accessories. The RIS III incorporates the 6-Bolt, Bolt-Up system, an attachment that is strong enough to withstand the recoil from an M203 grenade launcher. The M4A1 RIIIs safety selector, bolt release, and charging handle are fully ambidextrous, allowing both left and right handed to operate the rifle without moving their dominate hand from the grip. Other features of the M4A1 RIII include a 14.5 barrel the same barrel length as the U.S. Militarys M4 Rifle, but features a pinned and welded 1.5 flash hider for an overall barrel length of 16 to comply with NFA regulations. In addition, the M4A1 RIII features a full-length flattop picatinny rail to install iron sights or an optic of choice.
