The Beretta 92XI SAO Combat Series pays tribute to military camouflage heritage through a collaboration between Beretta and Richard Howe, a combat veteran dedicated to supporting disabled veterans and their families. Each handgun in this series showcases a unique Cerakote camouflage pattern hand-painted by a disabled veteran artist. These patterns include iconic designs like Vietnam Tiger Stripe, "Chocolate Chip" desert camo, Battle Dress Uniform, Desert Combat Uniform, and Multicam.
Similar to other firearms in the Beretta 92XI SAO Pistol the Combat Series offers familiar handling, excellent ergonomics, and comfort during shooting, alongside a range of performance enhancements. A standout upgrade is the Single-Action-Only Xtreme-S Trigger, featuring a flat-faced design and DLC-coated parts. This trigger enhances grip, shortens pull distance, and ensures a quick reset, significantly improving accuracy and performance. Another notable addition is the frame-mounted ambidextrous safety, akin to the 92X Performance model, enabling "Cocked and Locked" carry. Additionally, the 92XI features an optics-ready slide compatible with micro red dots, using standard mounting plates from the 92X Performance series.
