In 2011, B&T set out to design a modern replacement for the legendary H&K MP5—a platform whose legacy is unquestioned, but whose design no longer meets the demands of today’s end users. Modern requirements such as improved ergonomics, an updated manual of arms, support for mission-critical electro-optics, and true modularity drove the development of the APC9K PRO.

Designed from the ground up, the APC9K PRO delivers a superior shooting experience through fully ambidextrous controls, a hydraulic buffer system that mitigates recoil, and a robust, modular architecture built for longevity and ease of maintenance. Its proven performance has earned it a place among the top SMG/PCC platforms on the market, with expanded configurations that include multiple lowers, short-barreled rifle variants, and caliber options beyond 9mm, including 10mm and .45 ACP.
