The Crossfire HD 1400 is an ideal laser range finder for rifle and bow hunters alike. This do-it-all LRF has a max range of 1400 yards, and comes standard with Vortex exclusive features. It utilizes Vortex’s HD optical System, which utilizes select glass elements for excellent resolution, edge-to-edge sharpness, and high light-transmission while simultaneously reducing chromatic aberrations. The Crossfire HD 1400 offers three ranging modes: Line of Sight, Horizontal Component Distance, and Scan Mode. Line of sight displays the actual distance to the target while horizontal component distance displays the angle compensated distance. Scan mode on the other hand provides a continuous distance readings while panning across a landscape. Other features of the Crossfire HD 1400 include three target modes. Normal mode provides the target’s range with the strongest range result, suitable for most situations. First mode provides the closest distance while ranging, an ideal feature for smaller targets. Last mode provides the farthest distance when ranging, perfect for acquiring the range on targets behind obstructions like bushes, trees, and rocks.
