Pulsar’s Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Pro is the ultimate addition to any nighttime shooting setup, be it for hunting or for more tactical applications. This precision optical instrument is equipped with an extremely sensitive NETD <25mK thermal imaging sensor which can pick up on the most minuscule differences in temperature even in poor weather conditions like rain fog. Unlike night vision devices that need a small level of ambient background light, the Accolade 2 can function in complete darkness since it detects heat signatures instead of light. It also features an integrated laser rangefinder with an effective measuring range of up to 1 kilometer. By combining these two functions, the Accolade 2 enables the user to observe and determine the range of their target in complete darkness.

When the Accolade 2 detects a heat signature, it displays it on 1 of 8 color pallets: White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Rainbow, Ultramarine, Red Monochrome, Sepia and Violet. White hot displays heat signatures as white over a predominantly dark backdrop while black hot displays heat signatures as black over a predominantly white backdrop. Red monochrome is good for reducing the bright backlight from exiting the eyepiece and improves image quality. Sepia is well suited for long range observation by applying a warm golden hue to heat signatures, this helps reduce eye strain and enables longer viewing sessions. Red hot, rainbow and ultramarine greatly improve temperature differences of various object attributes, and violet is good for quickly identifying objects. All 8 of these color pallets can be greatly enhanced with the use of Pulsar’s Image Boost Technology. This proprietary feature comes standard on the Accolade 2 and provides a sharper, highly detailed field of view and enhances object identification.
