The Athlon Helos BTR Gen II 2-12x42mm Riflescope from Athlon Optics is a highly versatile optic that combines all the features of an ideal designated marksman rifle scope for mid to long-range engagements. It is equipped with the AHMR2 MIL illuminated reticle, which features a precise 0.3 MIL (1 MOA) center dot in the middle and holdover points located directly below for bullet drop compensation. The AHMR2 reticle is located in the first focal plane, allowing it to shrink and grow with your target as you zoom in or out. This makes it ideal for rapid target acquisition at mid-range while also providing precise holdover positions at long-range.

Additionally, the Helos BTR Gen II 2-12x42mm Riflescope features exposed and locking windage and elevation turrets, enabling quick adjustments by pulling the turret up and pushing them down to lock them. This ensures that your adjustments remain consistent and accurate during your engagements.

This is an excellent scope, with excellent glass and nice features. It's a GREAT value at this price. It comes with its own high-quality throw lever -- a nice surprise. The illumination knob is not ideal, however; it's not very easy to grasp, and the knurled screw adjacent to it, for changing the battery, gets under your fingers at the same time, and you can end up unscrewing the battery compartment when you're trying to turn illumination on. One thing I'm not personally fond of is the aiming dot, which is 0.3 MIL (about 1 MOA). For me that detracts a bit from precision aiming. This FEELS like a precision scope, and so it doesn't seem "fitting" to me personally. It's definitely useable, however. I would recommend a buy on this. I'm pretty sure anyone would be happy with this scope at this price.
